PhD and PostDoc Positions in Cyber-Physical Security (m/f/d) - Group Singh

Saarbrücken, Germany

Dr. Mridula Singh is looking for motivated PhD and Postdoc applicants in the area of cyber-physical security. The positions are not project-bound, so they allow candidates to freely choose and work on their preferred research directions within following focuses:

  • Secure Position Navigation and Timing: Designing and developing secure ranging and positioning systems, including GNSS, UWB, 5G, and LEO Satellites.
  • Secure Perception and Communication: Security analysis of perception and navigation sensors for autonomous vehicles, such as LiDAR, RADAR, and INS
  • Preserving Location Privacy: Analyzing privacy risks of evolving communication protocols, such as LTE & 5G.

" Group Singh explores vulnerabilities of cyber-physical systems and provides secure alternatives. Recent research highlights vulnerabilities of the GNSS positioning, UWB ranging and CANBus communication. They are currently exploring the possibility of designing secure sensors (e.g., RADAR), secure and scalable positioning systems (e.g., GNSS+LEO+5G), and exploring privacy leakage from communication protocols."
